WARNING! . . . may not be appropriate for all eyes.

As I was working on important blogging, i mean homework, on the computer, Gracie was behind me getting into the dirty laundry. YUCK! Why does it have to be the underwear load of all of them that she wants to dive into!
Anyway, it didn't take long for me to turn around and find this. . .

That's right! Those are MY panties around my babies neck! This is not the kind of accessorizing I've been teaching you!

Gracie has mastered the walk! Of course, as soon as I get the camera out to take video, she decides she's done showing off and won't do it. This video gives a brief idea of how much she's walking, and she's not even one yet! Maybe she wants to keep up with her brother and sister. She has also gotten over her fear of the stairs (after falling down them a few times) and has mastered both going up them and sliding down. She spends a good portion of her day going up and down, up and down and squealing while she does it.

I could just watch her all day. She's so entertaining!

As most of you know, I am the primary president in our ward at church. That is, I work with all the kids! Today we had our primary program and it couldn't have gone better. Nothing invites the spirit faster than a song and hearing children sing is even better. My particular favorite song this year is "If The Savior Stood Beside Me." I still get teary eyed when I hear the song and remember what it felt like when I heard it the first time. For those of you who haven't heard it, find a primary song CD asap. You will want it for keeps!
As I have reflected on our program today and the spirit that was felt in that room, I thought about what Christ would say or do if He were here to share a message with our kids. I chose the image above because this is how I imagine He would look. He has such great love for our children. I imagine He would bring each child into His arms the way you see Him in this picture. (maybe a little differently with the bigger kids!)
Anyway, this post isn't really anything special. More of a poorly written reflection of my appreciation for my calling in the primary and Christ's love for His children, including myself.
To those of you reading this who have kids in our ward, Thank you so much for all that you do to teach them about the gospel. I have truly grown as a mother, a woman, and as a person because of the opportunity I have had to work with your kids. Thank you for that.

The Joys of Being a Boy!

Cole has discovered the coveted-by-women-everywhere art of, you guessed it . . .

Standing while you pee!

Now when he goes to the bathroom he tells me, "I'm going pee like daddy does!" He's so proud of what a big boy he is and so are we. And let me tell you, he's a pretty good aim! No messes to clean up so far. Which is no small task since his task is pretty small (being only 3 years old, of course).

Good job Cole!

I thought this picture was perfectly appropriate to go along with the story I'm about to tell you.

As most of you know, I have been potty training my three-year-old son and he has been quiet successful. We are now at the stage where we can go to the store and be pretty confident that there won't be an accident.

On this particular day, I had taken my daughter and her two friends to dance. Once I dropped them off I decided to take my two remaining children to Target for some browsing while we waited for dance class to be over.

Of course, as soon as we enter the store, Cole announces his need to use the restroom ( I think he mostly gets a kick out of using the public potties). So, I make the mistake of not grabbing a cart to put Gracie in, carry her and walk Cole into the bathroom. Luckily, Target has a family section in the women's bathroom with a toilet just his size. He sits down and I walk towards the sink carrying Gracie to wait for him to finish. Then I hear . . .

"Waaaaah!" I look at Cole and he is panicking. Apparently, he did not sit far back enough or spread his legs enough for his "boy parts" to point down. So now he is peeing all over the bathroom in a water-hose-out-of-control-like-fashion. I panic, reach for him and shove his boy parts back into the toilet getting pee all over myself, him and the baby, along with all over the walls and floor! Now, I have to put Gracie on the dirty bathroom floor so I can clean Cole up and wipe up the pee on the floor while trying to keep her from playing in it!

Needless to say, we left the bathroom wet, and still had to wait the hour until dance class was over.

Playing Photo Shoot

I love taking pics! I want to soon take photography classes so I can learn more about lighting, shading, and such so I can turn my mediocre pics into to amazing photographs! Not to mention get myself a fancy camera! So hopefully all that can happen soon. Until then, here are a few of my favs that I took in the last few days of my kids.

Cabo with the Girls

I love surprise vacations! I got to go to Cabo with my mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and grandmother-in-law. It was so much fun and so much LAZY! I never knew how much being completely lazy could be so exhausting! (ha-ha)
Anyway, we did a lot of reading by the pool, by the beach, napping, and of course, lot's of eating! We had so much fun. Here are just a few pics.
The first is of the fiesta buffet we went to.
Here we are at a fancy outdoor restaurant, probably the best meal we had there.

This is me and Grandma Betty on the boat during the sunset cruise, and while on the cruise i took a pic of this pirate ship for my kids. they got quit a kick out of it!

The sunset from our cruise. so pretty!
